Palmar Reflex – Pressure in the palm causes fingers to close.

The Palmar Reflex refers to a newborn's involuntary response to close its fingers and grab onto objects placed into the palm of its hand. This reflex shows up around 11 weeks of gestation and typically is inhibited by three months of age.

Step 1

I woman is using the wings of the Rezzimax Tuner to scrape up her right arm.

  • Tuner: Wings
  • Intensity: Highest Level
  • Pressure: Moderate
  • Duration: 10 Times

Set the intensity of your Tuner to the highest level. Using a moderate amount of pressure, take the wing of the Tuner and scrape from the tip of each finger, up the arm and to the neck. Do this a couple of times for each finger, totaling ten times. When you're done, repeat the scrapes on the other arm.

Step 2

A practitioner is using the tip of the Rezzimax Tuner to draw an X in the palm of the patient's hand.

  • Tuner: None
  • Intensity: Highest Level
  • Pressure: Moderate
  • Duration: 10 Times

Set the intensity of your Tuner to the highest level using a moderate amount of pressure. Use the Tuner to trace X patterns across the palm of the hand. You'll want to do this ten times. When you're finished, repeat the step on the other hand.
